Client Services Representative
For over 35 years, Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services has been providing compassionate and dependable medical and non-medical home health care services throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Through our quality care, we help our clients with the medical, physical, and emotional strain that comes when home health care is needed the most.
Preferred is hiring a client services representative. The client services representative assists in the admission, verification, and coordination of all aspects of client care under the supervision of the director of central intake. Our Agency is available to clients, families, caregivers, and referral sources 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. Given the nature of our work, the position will support the Agency by assuming after-hours, on-call responsibility as assigned, to assure the operational needs of the organization are handled.
Responsibilities of Position
1. Answers all telephone calls in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner
2. Completes intake forms and routes them appropriately for admission approval
3. Takes telephone referral information for potential clients and communicates referrals in a timely fashion to the appropriate service location
4. Enters referral information into CubHub in a timely manner
5. Communicates essential information to managers for new inquiries, referrals, or scheduling difficulties in a timely manner
6. Assists with the maintenance of case management notes related to referrals, insurance approvals, and personnel issues that may arise
7. Routinely communicates with referral sources and other agencies to maintain excellent customer relations and obtain needed information
8. Performs clerical work, such as filing, copying, or faxing
9. Performs other duties as assigned in a professional manner
Job Condition
1. Position may be stressful in terms of meeting deadlines in a complex and dynamic operating environment
2. Work occurs in a standard office environment and off-site during on-call assignments
3. Requires minimal lifting of office records, files, and other documents
Qualifications
1. High school diploma or GED
2. Recent experience in client intake or medical office administration
3. Able to work independently, demonstrating sound judgment
4. Ability to handle on-call, which is after business hours and on weekends
5. Excellent organizational and time-management skills
6. Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong aptitude for great customer service
7. Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing
8. Proficient computer literacy
