In order to achieve a reliable and efficient flow of our goods across borders, our dedicated team of Customs Compliance experts ensures that our international shipments meet all legal requirements.

The team is searching for a Customs and Foreign Trade Analyst to work at our Florham Park, NJ head office. In this role you will be working on our AES Export Declarations.


As a Customs and Foreign Trade Analyst you create chemistry by…


  • Primary purpose of this position is to complete AES Export Declarations and submit mandatory information to U.S. Customs, U.S. Census Bureau, DEA, or any other PGA agency as required.
  • Review Export Declarations daily to ensure data sent to government agencies is accurate.
  • Generate monthly reports
  • Assist in monthly and quarterly audits
  • Communication with and solicitation of data from Export Managers and BASF Service Providers
  • Responding to CBP and U.S. Census Bureau requests.
  • Updating and maintaining data in SAP

This job has a hybrid work schedule.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent


Your formula for success…


  • Bachelor's Degree with 2 or more years of experience in Supply Chain and/or Regulatory and/or Procurement and/or Business Management OR High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 4 or more years of experience in Supply Chain and/or Regulatory and/or Procurement and/or Business Management is a plus
  • Chemistry background a plus
  • Experience dealing with U.S. Customs and other government regulatory agencies desired
  • Experience in handling Export Shipments Air/Sea/Truck desired
  • Knowledge of U.S Export Controls (BIS, OFAC, and ITAR) desired
