Let’s Talk About the Job: Full-Time Machine Operator / Rotating Cutter Operator Role
The Rotating Cutter Operator maintains personal safety in accordance with Inland policies and procedures, set up, adjusts, and operates all cutting equipment which includes Polar, Perfecta, and Blumer equipment ensuring we meet our customer specifications and the department production standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Reviews job tickets and plans work process.
- Sets up paper cutter and label die cut machine and selects and installs cutting die according to job order specifications.
- Operates guillotine paper cutter and auxiliary equipment.
- Sets up and operate automated label and die-cutting machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Maintains quality by using quality assurance devices
- Performs machine adjustments by using hand tools to maintain specifications and operator speed and performs knife changes.
- Communicates job requirements/specifications with co-workers.
- Transports material using powered hand truck.
- Troubleshoots and problem-solves machine and job order problems.
- Completes all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
- Assists Label Line Associates with fanning, banding, shrink wrapping, and other duties as needed.
- Cross-training will be expected
Essential Skills & Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree required
- 1-3 years of related experience or a combination of education and experience
- Ability to work well with others and communicate proficiently
- Highly motivated and detail-oriented
Work Environment:
Operates in a demanding, fast-paced, people-oriented manufacturing environment with frequent changes and interruptions, and multiple project assignments.
Work Schedule:
Rotating 12 hour shifts, 6:00am - 6:00pm
The work schedule will be as follows:
Week One: Work Three Days Per Week
Week One: Work Three Days Per Week
Week Two: Work Four Days Per Week
Every Other Weekend OFF!
Pay:
Starting pay for this role is $20 with advancement opportunities, weekend compensation bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits program.
