Boecore, LLC. is looking to hire a Cyber Systems Engineer - Test Support to support activities associated with missile defense, including Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. Work location is on Schriever SFB, in Colorado Springs, CO.
Responsibilities:
The selected candidate is expected to apply working knowledge of the Department of Defense Cybersecurity Test and Evaluation (T&E) Guidebook, DODI 8500.01, and NIST SP 800-53 guidance throughout various phases of the cybersecurity T&E lifecycle. Expected to work in close collaboration with System Owners, Program Office staff, test community, and other technical Functional Areas to ensure the relevance of architecture and system designs in implementing program Cybersecurity requirements. This position requires a strong working knowledge of Cybersecurity capabilities such as patch management, two-factor authentication, host-based security, intrusion detection, security event management, active threat hunt, exploitation techniques, and defense-in-depth. Duties on an as-needed basis include: development of cybersecurity test objectives, technical documentation, cybersecurity test plans, engineering responses for system POA&Ms, and providing support to the program and customer meetings. The candidate will report to the System Test Cross Functional Product Team (CFPT) Product Owner and work directly with the Task Order Program Manager, Cyber Test & Evaluation Lead, and Cyber and Systems Engineering lead.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a Math, Science, Engineering, or Software Engineering with 9 or more years of experience or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree
  • DoD 8570.01-M certification (CASP+ CE, CISSP (or Associate), CSSLP)) or higher.
  • Candidate must have experience with DoD cybersecurity test methodologies and terminologies, and MDA test program as defined by the MDA Integrated Master Test Plan and Integrated Master Analysis Plan.
  • Previous experience planning and executing cyber test activities with external agencies required.
  • Candidate must have experience participating in system test events.
  • Candidate must have demonstrated leadership experience in a technical domain, including network systems, server systems, virtual environments, with related Cyber compliance leadership experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of Cybersecurity technologies, NIST standards, and RMF governance.
  • Experience in the Cybersecurity Lifecycle to include: requirements, design, development, integration, test, implementation and deployment.
  • Experience and knowledge of Cybersecurity principles and requirements that are relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication and non-repudiation.
  • Understanding of DoD and missile defense command and control, battle management, architectures and communications system concepts and mission.
  • Understanding of the cyber kill chain vs Mitre attack framework.
  • Must have a DoD Secret clearance.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with Missile Defense mission systems is desired.
  • Familiarity with performing sprint tasks in an Agile execution structure is desired.
  • Systems Engineering, Network Design and/or Software Development backgrounds are a plus.
  • Experience with operational MDA systems (e.g., C2BMC, GMD, Aegis, THAAD, Patriot, SBIRS, ADSI), message standards and formats (e.g., Link-16, TADIL-J, MIL-STD 6016, MIL-STD 6020, MIL-STD 3011, VMF), and/or off-the-shelf engineering tools packages (e.g., MATLAB, DOORS, ClearQuest) a plus.
  • CEH certification or equivalent highly desired.
