Cybersecurity Analyst Job at Moore & Associates
Outstanding owner and operator of warehouse shopping clubs has immediate need for a Cybersecurity Analyst to join the team to protect the organization from cyberattacks by monitoring company systems and evaluating threats as they arise.
This is a hybrid role and direct hire opportunity.
The Cybersecurity Analyst’s responsibilities include reviewing computer networks and identifying any potential vulnerabilities, installing the necessary software to protect it from unauthorized access, and documenting detections so that future breaches can be mitigated efficiently. Ultimately, they will defend Company's computer hardware, software and other systems from theft, loss and other cyberattacks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere and apply Company's Code of Conduct and Company Ethics at all times
- Adhere and apply Company's Security, Prevention and Safety Guidelines
- Promote Company's business philosophy including the 6 Rights of Merchandising
- Observe and apply Company's Policies and Procedures
- Protect Company's assets and working tools at all times
- Monitor network traffic for security incidents and events
- Investigate incidents and respond to events in real time
- Write detailed incident response reports
- Install and operate firewalls, encryption programs, and other security software
- Fix vulnerabilities
- Develop and promote best practices for information security
- Conduct threat research
- Perform periodic risk assessments and penetration tests
- Installing security measures and operating software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.
- Work with the security and network teams to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities.
- Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.
- Perform penetration testing.
- Help colleagues install security software and understand information security management
- Conduct threat research
- Perform periodic risk assessments and penetration tests
OTHER TASKS:
- Stay current on Information Technology (IT) security trends and news.
- Develop company-wide best practices for Cybersecurity.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR FORMAL TRAINING, YEARS OF EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND/OR SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:
- 2 years work experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst or similar role.
- Experience in information security or related field.
- Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques.
- Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus and IDP/IPS concepts.
- Ability to present and explain Security Awareness Training concepts.
- Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them.
- Ability to generate Security Metrics and Audit Artifacts in a timely manner.
- Willingness to learn and expand technical skills to meet department demand.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field is preferred.
- Bi-lingual a plus, Spanish speaking preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
