Job Description
To perform microscopic examination and evaluation of patient's gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens as well as to judge specimens as “normal” referring suspected abnormal or suspicious gynecologic results and all non-gynecologic results to the pathologist for further evaluation.

Minimum or Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree AMA approved Cytology Program. NYS DOE - Cytotechnologist, limited permit with license obtained within 90 days. ASCP - Cytotechnologist or equivalent. Good technical/observation skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions, reason and make judgments. Must have the ability to learn and effectively use PC based applications as needed. Must have the ability to perform all required section competencies within the required time frame.
