Network Coverage is seeking talented and experienced data analysts to join our growing team. Candidates will primarily work remotely, however dispatch to the field can occur depending on project workload, as well as client-facing meetings, presentations and consultations.

3-5 years of real world, high level IT experience is required for this position with demonstrated experience with basic & advanced network architectures, systems infrastructure, troubleshooting and technical problem-solving. The ability to deliver projects on time and work within deadlines, as well as being able to adjust to ever-changing client demands and scenarios is a must.

Data Analyst

Level: Mid-Level to High-Level

Reports To: Application Services Manager

Basic Scope and Function:

As a Data Analyst, you will work closely with clients to understand their data needs and requirements. While development will be your primary focus, you will also be responsible for standard project management activities like managing client expectations, navigating scope changes, and providing recommendations on architecture and design. This means you will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. This role reports to the Application Services Manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Required:

• Develop reports and dashboards
• Perform data engineering activities
• Design and develop end-to-end analytics solutions (wireframing, data discovery, extract/load, data transformation, data warehousing, and report development and deployment)
• Support and enhance existing analytics
• Perform ad-hoc analytics in tools like Excel
• Interact with clients to manage project delivery and navigate scope changes
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong project management skill set, with demonstrated ability to adhere and deliver to deadlines and project timelines. and how to apply them in reliable and efficient means are a strong plus

Minimum Experience and Education Required:

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience developing reports, dashboards, or performing data engineering activities
• Proficient in SQL
• Experience in either Tableau or PowerBI
• Experience with tools like Fivetran, Snowflake, and dbt
• Programming experience in Python is a plus
• Experience with a source control tool like GitHub, Bitbucket, or SourceTree are a plus
• Familiarity with JSON payloads is desirable
• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is beneficial
• Data architecture experience with concepts like Kimball and star schemas is a nice-to-have

Supervisory/Managerial Experience and Responsibility:

• No supervisory or managerial experience required.
• No supervisory or managerial duties in this role.

Work Environment:

Work is primarily performed in standard office environments. Client environments may vary. May be exposed to moderate noise levels from machinery. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for 8 hours or more daily.

Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Duties may also involve stooping, kneeling, crawling, reaching and moving of equipment in order to install or check the installations of network devices and cabling. Travel to various worksites may be required.
