Your New Opportunity*
The Data Analyst’s responsibility is to analyze, identify & resolve discrepancies, report and load critical data into Comtech systems to support E9-1-1 call routing, new customer onboarding and service maintenance activities. You will be a key contributor to our team and will uphold and define data management standards and best practices that support the everchanging data requirements of our business.
PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Provision data (load data) to support deployment of internal and external systems. Collect, analyze and quality check all data related to a deployment, or ensure these functions are being performed by appropriate resources on the deployment team. Data are provisioned in the Comtech systems using a variety of tools and interfaces.
• Collect, analyze and quality check data using a variety of in-house tools and interfaces. This includes processing data from wireless/VoIP carriers, PSAPs and internal customers (examples; cell site maintenance request), as well as supporting ad hoc projects such as data audits, reports etc.
• Assist in troubleshooting Remedy trouble tickets that are escalated to the team. This includes analyzing the problems, proposing or implementing solutions and identifying, documenting the root causes.
• Actively build and foster customer loyalty, address and/or escalate customers’ issues in a timely fashion. Identify, propose and implement process improvements that would benefit both Comtech and customers. Interact effectively with appropriate internal and external personnel to resolve issues.
• Generate ad hoc reports as required. Conduct data reviews and quality check of customer-facing reports to ensure data accuracy.
• Participate in discussions related to future system upgrade, bug fix and enhancement in the current system; provide input and documentation to the appropriate teams.
• Provide UAT support for the implementation of tools & services enhancements
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment along with the ability to meet deadlines and due dates.
• Must be organized and a self-starter.
• Maintain a high degree of professionalism and a sense of humor while diligently overcoming system challenges.
• Rotating 24/7 on call for production issue support.
• Support other projects as needed

AS A DATA ANALYST,* YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:

Advanced Excel knowledge required.

• Ability to create Macros and intermediate Oracle SQL queries.
• Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective listening skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills required
• Logic-driven thought process.
• Ability to work with a range of skill and knowledge sets.
• PC literate with functional knowledge of Microsoft suite of products.
• Understanding of basic database concepts, theories and best practices
• Ability to create reports/queries/visualizations using MS Access, Oracle, Excel, SQL etc.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:*

• Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years prior data analysis experience required.
• 1+ years prior customer service experience required.

ADDITIONAL VALUED CAPABILITIES INCLUDE:*

• Programming with C#, Java, Python and SQL a plus
• Experience reporting/presenting data findings using Splunk/Tableau etc.
• Understanding of GIS datasets and concepts a plus
• Experience using ITSM/Remedy or JIRA systems
