Job Title: Data Center Engineer
Location: Chicago / Vernon Hills / Northlake, IL (Day One Onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Shift Timings
#1 – Mon to Fri: 10 PM – 6 AM (onsite)
#2 – Wed to Sun: 10 PM – 6 AM (onsite)
Job Description:
- Current experience with Fiber cabling installations
- Current experience with Installation, migration, and demise of IT equipment within Data Centres (To 5 years)
- Understanding of underpinning M&E relating to critical facilities (UPS, generators, RPPs, etc)
- Awareness of service management techniques including Problem, Change, and Incident management
- Understanding of data network and cabling technologies, principles, and products
- Working knowledge of Aperture, CMS, and GSD
- General overview as to how a computer room floor is laid out and how modern server, storage, and network infrastructure is integrated.
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly build relationships with key stakeholders
- Awareness of IT hardware, software, operations, and networks.
- A track record of overseeing the delivery of complex programs and projects;
- Proven technical awareness in an IT role
- Awareness of risk management
- Have an excellent knowledge of the project lifecycle
- Be able to enforce the quality policies and processes used.
- ITIL
- PC / Office skills (Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, etc)
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Work Location: One location
