Summary: The Data Engineer is responsible for implementing processes and methods to improve data reliability, usability and quality. Will also develop and maintain the production and test architecture and processes that support the Data Warehouse and ETL processes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create/Implement a Data Governance model to ensure quality, reliability and security of data
- Create and maintain an organizational data map
- Build Data Pipelines by gathering data from various sources utilizing scripting tools
- Manage Master Data by providing input and assisting in configurations and standardization across applications to improve the quality of data
- Manage and own the ETL process for PostgreSQL Data Warehouse using python, SQL and other PowerShell to prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling in Tableau
- Validates data requirement scope and objectives through interaction with customers, end-users, management and leadership.
- Serves as a SME IRT data standardization for financial and patient information systems.
- Collaborate with Financial Analyst on data validation and complex data analysis
- Coordinates VPN’s, HL7 and API interfaces between vendors and business partners to facilitate the flow of data into the DW.
- Analyze, organizes and manage data conversions for newly acquired practices
- Archive and integrate legacy data into the data warehouse
- Serve as data steward and work with vendors to review new features and functionality and ensure systems are properly configured to ensure data usability.
- Develops project plans which align new data requirements with existing system functionality
- Create ad-hoc DW reports as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science
- Proficient in SQL and Python
- Hands on experience in database design
- Knowledge of and experience with BI presentation tools strongly desired
- Ability to develop a solid practical understanding of business processes, financial and clinical.
- Highly organized, with ability to demonstrate continual follow-through of multiple projects and priorities.
