We are currently seeking an SAP Master Data Analyst in the APN Master Data Team to support the Seed and Crop Chemical material master data based out of Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.

The SAP Data Management Team is part of the APN/F – Risk, Compliance & Data Management organization in the North American Agricultural Division of BASF (APN-F). This position has been established to support the Seed and Crop Chemical material master data as a liaison between the Business Operations, APN Master Data Team, and global & regional business functions to ensure data quality. The desired candidate will collaborate across APN Business Operations, Business Functions, and global teams to support timely master data solutions, with a focus on our customers.

As an SAP Master Data Specialist you create chemistry by…

• Learning all tasks performed by the APN Master Data Team and supporting other members of the team. This includes managing the life cycle of articles including creation, maintenances, data cleansing and sellout in compliance with global, regional, and local requirements.

• Understanding of how master data impacts end-to-end supply chain/operations business processes.

• Being able to analyze large amount of master data, identifying root causes of data quality issues and providing error resolutions.

• Proactively identifying opportunities for simplification and continuous improvements. Reducing data inconsistencies and incompleteness by standardization and harmonization to improve master data effectiveness and efficiency.

• Supporting SAP change management requests from different workstreams (i.e. OTC, P2P, MFG, PLN, SL, TM, NCM, QM), major releases and NGBA (S4/Hana) upgrades to ensure systems and processes are working seamlessly within AP North American businesses.

• Your strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving skills will be essential as you foster a solution-oriented relationship with internal stakeholders to meet production / product launch expectations by timely creating accurate material master data and resolving master data issues.

• Your effective written and verbal communication skills will serve you well as you collaborate with respective Local, Regional & Global teams to successfully process material master data requests.

• Using your advanced experience in MS Word, Excel, SharePoint, MS Teams, you will document regional master data maintenance processes, SOP's, job aids and provide trainings to stakeholders
  

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Your formula for success…

• 10 years of similar work experience or Bachelor’s Degree

• Strong SAP background.
• Experience with end-to-end supply chain business knowledge

• Experience in Manufacturing Environment

• Master Data experience, a plus

• Experience in project management relating to system transition, integration, merger / acquisition, divesture, a plus.

• Experience in using RPA/automation tools such as VBA scripts would be a plus.
• Strong communication and analytical skills
