Overview:

The SDSU Library supports the information, curricular and research needs of the university's diverse community through the widest possible range of resources. The new Research Data Services unit of the Library provides training for students and faculty on a variety of research data topics such as data management plans, data sharing, data collection, etc.

Responsibilities:
The Date Workshop Assistant is responsible for but not limited to:
Position Specific Responsibilities 95%
- Help with logistics for a series of in person workshops.
- Test and/or suggest exercises using spreadsheet data with OpenRefine and R.
- Provide in person support for workshop attendees.
- Help collect and manage survey data from participants.
Other Duties as Assigned 5%
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION
Equivalent to completion of a bachelor's degree and registration in an SDSU graduate degree program
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS
Experience working with data sets.- Knowledge of OpenRefine, R, and other analysis programs.
- Experience as a teaching assistant or providing teaching support in data anaylsis.
