Position Summary:
The Database Marketing Specialist is responsible for executing database emails for the LA Galaxy, Dignity Health Sports Park and related AEG properties. In addition, the Database Marketing Specialist creates and maintains lead generation mechanisms and supports marketing efforts via SMS and other mass-communication channels.
Essential Functions:
Manage external database communication:
- Design and execute informational e-newsletters, targeted promotional emails and operational emails for club, venue and related properties
- Maintain email request process for stakeholders
- Segment data appropriately for campaign lists
- Ensure that consent/subscription lists are updated and managed properly
- Adhere to applicable federal and state laws regarding marketing (CAN-SPAM, etc.)
- Work with Ticket Service Team to coordinate regular Season Ticket Member email communications
- Balance schedule of e-newsletters for Ticket Sales, Soccer Programming, Community/Foundation, Venue and other stakeholders
- Coordinate content for regular email newsletters and event-specific ticket sales campaigns
- Participate in email, direct mail and other marketing campaign data validation for data warehouses and third-party platforms
- Identify opportunities to customize, segment and otherwise enhance communications to constituents
- Support new marketing automation technologies and systems as necessary
Analytics:
- Monitor tracking mechanisms (conversion, attribution, etc.) to gauge message effectiveness after deployment
- Monitor data integrity in all data sources
- Produce ad hoc reports, research, or analysis as needed
- Offer input to technology solutions that track performance of email campaigns and other database marketing campaigns
Lead Acquisition:
- Orchestrate lead generation through sweepstakes and other data capture in compliance with applicable consumer data laws and within budget
- Implement appropriate consent mechanisms on data capture forms
- Understand processes and standards for regularly importing or ingesting new and updated leads into database marketing systems
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or its equivalency (BA/BS Degree Preferred) - Business, Marketing or Communications
- 2-4 years of relevant work experience
- Prior experience with CRM, marketing automation, and ticketing platforms
- Experience building queries and manipulating data
- Experience in digital ad buying and performance measurement via Facebook Business Manager, Google analytics and/ or other commonly used paid advertising platforms
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel with the ability to learn required business systems
- Proven ability to communicate professionally and coordinate with multiple departments
- Basic knowledge of HTML
- Basic database and/or SQL knowledge
- Basic knowledge of graphic design is a plus
- Knowledge or experience of sports industry is a plus
Pay Scale: $65,000 - $81,880
