SUMMARY:

The Database Supervisor will work with the Grand Casino marketing teams, Database Manager and database team to develop and execute a successful direct marketing strategy designed to profitably grow all areas of the business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Work with property Marketing team, Database Manager and Database team to develop and execute a successful direct marketing strategy designed to profitably grow all areas of business.
  • Create reports, perform research, and pull target/segmented lists by extracting data.
  • Analyze current Database trends and design campaigns and select communication channels to target customers.
  • Monitor and optimize campaign efficiencies and create pro forma to demonstrate profitability and incremental revenue.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to plan database marketing initiatives, manage execution and ensure accuracy.
  • Recommend, execute, and assess the effectiveness of direct mail test/control programs.
  • Create, monitor and evaluate database campaigns that include but not limited to opening creative requests, providing feedback and edits on creative, pulling target lists, choosing appropriate communication channel, ensuring promotion is set up to be executed, reviewing live proofs and submitting approvals.
  • Ensure all direct marketing efforts are coordinated among Direct Mail, Digital Innovation Group, Casino Marketing, Players Club, Promotions, Special Events as well as F & B and Hotel Yield Management.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of all direct mail and email programs as well as campaign enhancements and new capabilities.
  • Prepare, analyze, and communicate on findings from monthly, quarterly, and other reports.
  • Assist with property marketing activities such as promotions and special events.
  • Help create protocols for data entry, monitoring, and updating.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance and clean-up of databases system.
  • Work with vendors as required.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 2 years of database marketing and data analysis experience
  • Experience using data analysis tools, including SQL
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience with the following:Working and querying relational databases, such as SQL.

Writing queries against relational databases.

  • Minimum three (3) years of Excel experience required including advanced proficiency with the following:Writing basic and advanced formulae in Excel such as SUM, AVERAGE, SUMIFS and SUMPRODUCT etc.

Basic and advanced conditional formatting.
Building PIVOT TABLES, POWER PIVOTS, PIVOT CHARTS etc.
Using VLOOKUP (or XLOOKUP) and INDEX MATCH.
Experience developing macros and automation in excel preferred.

  • Possess excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform well under changing conditions and tight timelines.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects ensuring completion of projects in a timely fashion.
  • Knowledge of database marketing principles and systems; analytical, financial and operational reporting.
  • Knowledge of direct mail processes.
  • Knowledge of casino database operating system required.
  • Must be able to secure license from Gaming Regulatory Authority.
  • Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.
  • Responsible for following all relevant department gaming regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
