Responsibilities:
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR DEALER SCHOOL:
Opportunities to enter the Dealer School are open to qualified candidates who meet the minimum requirements. The goal of the school is to prepare candidates for available career opportunities within the Table Games department at Seminole Casino Brighton.
- Training will take place Monday through Friday 5:00PM - 9:00pm.
- Students do not receive pay for their time spent in training.
- If a student declines a table games position after starting/completing the Table Games School, he/she may be ineligible for future employment as a Table Games Dealer within the Seminole Gaming Administration properties
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION FOR ADMISSION TO THE DEALER SCHOOL – EXTERNAL CANDIDATES:
- Pass a basic math assessment.
- Successfully complete an interview assessment.
- Demonstrate exceptional guest service skills including a positive demeanor and calm, steady temperament.
- Demonstrate and maintain strong ethical standards.
- Must be proficient in the English language.
- Attending Dealer School does not automatically guarantee employment as a Table Games Dealer.
- Must be able to successfully complete the gaming process and obtain a gaming license and maintain said license.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION FOR ADMISSION TO THE DEALER SCHOOL - INTERNAL CANDIDATES:
- Must be a current Team Member in good standing.
- Must have been employed at Seminole Brighton Casino at least 6 months.
- Must have been in current position at least 90 days.
- No more than 7 attendance occurrences.
- No disciplinary actions at the Final Written Warning level.
- Must maintain current position/schedule while attending Dealer School.
- Internal candidates will not be paid for training time.
- Must be able to successfully complete the gaming process and obtain a gaming license and maintain said license.
If a Part/Full time Dealer position is offered after graduating from Dealer School, the job offer must be accepted or the eligibility to ever be in a Table Games position with Seminole Gaming may be lost.
Once an applicant has completed/passed Dealer School and is offered a position as a Dealer at the Seminole Brighton Casino the applicant must complete and submit an application for a Dealer position through the Seminole Gaming Website www.gotoworkhappy.com
JOB SUMMARY DEALER – TABLE GAMES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to performing the functions of a Dealer on an assigned shift. Responsible for dealing an assigned game in accordance with established policy and procedures. Conducts the assigned game with respect to Seminole Gaming’s Compliance and Regulations and procedures. Responsible for customer satisfaction and enjoyment on a particular assigned table game.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
May include but are not limited to:
- Performs the functions of a dealer on an assigned shift.
- Responsible for dealing an assigned game in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Complies with all departmental and Company Policies including Seminole Gaming’s business ethics guidelines and all regulatory requirements.
- Offers the highest possible level of customer service resulting in a maximum level of customer enjoyment and return play.
- Serve in the role and complete the responsibilities of a Dual Rate Dealer/Floor Supervisor as requested.
- Responsible for knowing all policies & procedures of the specific table game he/she is supervising.
- Maintains a work environment that is safe, professional, friendly and conducive to a high level of productivity & performance as well as morale.
- Works diligently to support the Seminole Gaming’s culture and team philosophy throughout the property.
- Amicably resolves customer related problems in a fast paced environment.
- Ensures the protection of customer’s rewards and credit lines.
- Maintains confidentiality of all Seminole Gaming’s trade secrets and proprietary information including business processes, customer lists, marketing plans and any other confidential information.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pound.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.
As part of Seminole Gaming’s employment process, final candidates will be required to obtain gaming licensure by completing a background check with Seminole Gaming Compliance and Regulations, prior to an offer being extended. These background checks may include, but are not limited to:
