Borghese Lane LLC – Deckhand
We provide transportation of commodities by barge to customers along the Monongahela, Allegheny, and Ohio rivers. Currently we are looking for deckhands to fill multiple different openings. The ideal candidate for this position is dependable, hard working, and able to follow instructions.
Job Summary: Deck Hands are responsible for all daily operations of barges and vessels. Daily responsibilities include: Making the Tow, Delivering the Tow, Checking the Fleet (lines, cables, hatches, water), retrieving/placing lanterns, performing pre-operational checks, cleaning and minor maintenance of the vessel.
Schedule: Candidates would need to be available to work seven days per week 12-hour days (6 hours on / 6 hours off) for any of the following durations.
- 14 days on / 7 days off
- 14 days on / 14 days off
- 21 days on / 21 days off
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Must be able to obtain a TWIC Card
