The Worcester County Developmental Center (WCDC) is looking for a Delegating Nurse to join our fast-paced medical team. The nurse will work collaboratively with our 4-person medical department responsible for all aspects of medical care to clients who participate in our residential program and the day-to-day care for community-based clients who attend our arts and activities focused day program. The position allows you to impart your years of wisdom in the form of education and training to staff on medical related topics and best practices. The medical department, led by the Delegating Nurse Manager, also ensures compliance with DDA, OHCQ, and MBON regulations.

Salary: $74,880/yr.

Hours: Flexible; On-Call Rotation

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the team to identify and respond to a wide range of physical and mental health needs.
• Determine the needs of individuals and provides delegation and training to Certified Medication Technicians (CMTs).
• Perform 45 day and initial assessments on assigned clients as well as HRST reviews.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities with other RN's on a rotating basis by being available by phone to triage and delegate care instructions.
• Work a flexible hybrid schedule with the ability to work from home, at the day program, and the residential homes.

Requirements:

Education:

• Unencumbered Maryland Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of prior nursing experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to understand the importance of developing a culture of excellence.
• Proven experience with team collaboration and employee engagement.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced and highly collaborative environment.
• Ability to multitask and remain flexible as your day may quickly and without warning shift in an unexpected direction.
