Our stands sell fresh poultry, fresh-squeezed juice, bakery, deli salads, and fresh and smoked meats & deli. We have an opening for a Deli Salads Supervisor position to assist with clerking, enact customer service resolutions,

Transportation is provided to PA residents with pick up/drop off locations from our plant in Intercourse/Gordonville and at Dutch Way on Rt. 41 south of Gap.

Deli Salads Supervisor Qualifications:

• Age 18+
• Energetic, friendly personality; service-oriented
• Basic math skills
• Attention to detail
• Experience in retail, and/or market is a plus
• Ability to speak, read, and understand English
• Ability to stand, walking, bend, and lift for majority of shift
• Reliable transportation

Deli Salads Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Assist with front line clerking duties, involving interact with customers to receive their orders; pull product from the case, weigh or portion according to customer's order, package product; and use cash register to complete customer purchase
• Communicating with customers when concerns arise and enact appropriate resolutions within authority guidelines and company policies
• Assembling and mixing salads, stocking product into showcases
• Keeping the case, counters, equipment, workspaces clean
• Inventory control including tracking food dates and rotating products, monitoring paper goods supplies, recording waste, performing weekly inventory review
• Providing feedback and ideas for products served, seasonal items, and recipes
• Assist with training new clerks
• Supervising clerks and performing first line performance corrections
• Ensuring compliance with food handling and safety procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Deli Salads Supervisor Scheduling & Benefits:

• Part Time, 30-40 hours per week
• Thursday, Friday, and/or Saturday hours available (Wednesday prep is possible but infrequent); Market is open on Thursdays from 9 am - 3 pm, and Fridays-Saturdays from 9 am - 8 pm)
• Tentative schedule: Thursday 7 am (leaves PA around 6 am) - 3 pm (returns to PA around 4:30 pm); Friday - Saturday starts at 7 am (leaves PA around 6 am) and works until 5 pm one day and 8:30 pm the other (returns to PA 1-1.5 hours later)
• Saturday availability/flexibility is required
• Transportation is provided to PA residents! Two pickup locations, from Intercourse and on Rt 41 south of Gap
• Applicants who are 18+ with a valid driver's license and clean driving record may earn extra hours by helping to drive to and from the Market
