Jefferson Park Dental Studio is looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Hygienist at Jefferson Park Dental Studio, you are actively contributing to the betterment of oral health & hygiene for all patients!

Hygienist Responsibilities:

As our Registered Dental Hygienist, you will oversee completing a thorough assessment of your patient’s health, including their teeth, bone and periodontal tissue. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, such as: taking quality x-rays, performing a visual and tactile cancer exam, performing extra- and intra-oral exams, administering fluoride, sealants, scaling and root planning, and dental prophylaxis

• Provide patients with excellent oral hygiene techniques

• Maintain the highest level of professional standard of excellence in accordance with our office’s needs

• Educate patients and Doctor on any abnormalities or suspected conditions as part of their overall treatment plan

• Conduct oneself with the utmost professionalism and care when interacting with patients

Hygienist Requirements:

• A Valid Dental Hygienist License in the state of Illinois.

• Ability to patient health first

• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry

• Capability to prepare and disinfect treatment rooms adhering to OSHA, CDC and infection control guidelines

• Friendly & upbeat attitude

Hygienist Skills:

As a Registered Dental Hygienist, there are many skills needed in order to be successful with the betterment of oral health & hygiene. A few of those key skills include:

· Critical Thinking – Hygienists must be able to assess and evaluate patient health and develop treatment plans for your patients

· Communication – Hygienists must share important and vital information with the Doctor, and it is important this is done clearly and effectively

· Detail Oriented – Hygienists must follow specific rules and protocols in order to help Doctors diagnose and treat patients

· Dexterity – Hygienists must be good with their hands, as they work in tight places and on a small part of the body

· Interpersonal – Hygienists work with Doctors and patients all day long; therefore, it is important they are considerate while working with others.

· Problem-Solving – Hygienists develop and implement treatment plans to maintain and improve oral health
