Responsibilities:

We are seeking an Deputy Operations Manager to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals onsite at Offutt AFB. The ITCC II Deputy Operations Manager works in conjunction with the Operations Manager to oversee enterprise applications, multi-network, mixed operating system IT environments. The manager develops strategies to help meet the organizational mission, provides leadership and guidance to implement those strategies and determines individual organizational objectives in support of overall objectives.

Responsible for formulating and enforcing work standards, assigning schedules, reviewing work performance, identifying and resolving discrepancies, supervising personnel assigned within functions as leads and support personnel. Responsible for communicating policies, purposes and goals of contract performance. Plans and supervises projects and/or tasks involving implementation or integration of complex information systems.

Demonstrated capability for oral and written communications with all levels of management. Meets with government representatives and user communities to formulate and review plans and deliverables items. Ensures conformance with and maintains detailed knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures used within Customer Service and in related functions to include USSTRATCOM instructions, processes and policies.

The selected individual must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for SCI – or a minimum of a Secret security clearance is required to start work on-site for this contract.

What you'll do:

Candidate will perform the following tasks:

Operations
  • Remain available 24.x7 for escalation support for all USSTRATCOM sites
  • Being on-site and available to USSTRATCOM and employees
  • Verifying updates to tracking systems utilized by System Operations activities
  • Serve as backup for Operations Manager, CSM, ISM and all System Operations Tower SMEs
Operational Planning
  • Maintaining a detailed knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures used within System Operations and in related support groups
  • System Operations resourcing and staffing activities to meet contractual requirements
  • Managing, developing and training Infrastructure Services personnel to support customer mission requirements
  • Making decisions regarding hiring, disciplinary actions and termination of local and matrix managed personnel
  • Planning for accomplishing specific tasks to meet project milestones and customer deadlines
  • Forecasting requirements for training, staffing, tools and equipment procurement, based on customer requirements and industry trends
Customer Satisfaction
  • Achieving USSTRATCOM Service Level Agreements (SLA) detailed in the ITCC II Baseline Authorized Service Summary (BASS)
  • Contract Deliverable Requirement List (CDRL) A001 metrics reporting
  • Escalating to Program Management all instances of identified systems or services not specified by a BASS SLA.
  • Developing performance standards and measuring results against SLAs and internal performance standards
  • Direct customer interface for Systems Status Reporting and issue resolution (GNCC)
  • Meeting with USSTRATCOM representatives, Contract Officer Respresentatives and Service Owners to prevent and resolve support issues
Operational Staff Development
  • Ensuring each member of Infrastructure Services understands his/her role and responsibilities on the team, the processes and procedures used in service delivery and the reporting structure within the group.
  • Directing functional leads, delegating responsibility and authority in the performance of specific functions, coaching and motivating team members and coordinating the activities across the functional teams.
Other
  • Assist Operations Manager with new business development as it relates to operations to include analysis of Statement of Objectives (SOO)s for the development of Technical Narratives and Basis of Estimates (BOE), and task breakdowns
  • Conduct Remedy Change Request tech solution reviews and approvals
  • CYBER Security Working group member
  • Review all MOU/MOA/support agreements
  • Global Operations Center (GOC) and Off Site Subject Matter Expert
  • ISO Quality Council member
  • Problem Management Process Manager
  • Information System Account Manager (ISAM)
Qualifications:
Required Qualificaitons:

What you'll need:
  • BS 12-15, MS 10-13. Phd 10+

  • Technical degree, applicable industry certification or 14 + years equivalent relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Technical background in products, processes and services being supported (MCSE, CNE or equivalent experience).
  • Knowledge of government management of assets and security requirements.
  • Ability to mentor and motivate personnel.
  • Project management skills.
  • Knowledge of contract management requirements and deliverables
  • Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for SCI – or a minimum of a Secret security clearance is required to start work on-site for this contract.

Salary Range: Salary Minimum: $72,500 Salary Mid: $145,000 Salary Maximum: $181,300 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.
