DevSecOps Job at LTS (VA)

LTS Health is seeking a Staff DevSecOps Engineer to solution cloud infrastructure in support of a healthcare delivery platform, with an emphasis on automation, security, and platform engineering.

You’ll join a highly skilled team working in a dynamic and agile environment that leverages automation and technology to deliver a convenient, safe, and reliable solution to accessing medical testing, harm reduction treatments, and preventative care that directly addresses public health crises and supports vulnerable communities’ health needs.

The ideal candidate is capable of operating autonomously as an individual contributor and has experience working as a part of a cloud/cloud native engineering team following DevOps/ DevSecOps culture.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Early engagement and collaboration with product and engineering teams to define and document architectural requirements to include security and cloud infrastructure following agile processes

  • Execution of architecture via infrastructure, security, policy, and configuration as code to provision and manage cloud resources and artifacts, primarily in AWS

  • Support and enable the engineering team to automate delivery and deployment of software artifacts through CI/CD

  • Maintain GitLab repositories, configuration, and access

  • Document processes and best practices for DevSecOps workflows

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to maintain steady progress, resolve impediments, and achieve goals

  • Utilize and promote engineering best practices within the team to ensure quality, stability, performance, resiliency, reusability, and maintainability

  • Contribute to building an inclusive environment and improving your team’s ability to deliver


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred or related scientific or technical discipline with at least 5 - years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5-7 years of experience with at least half of the following:

  • IAM, Computing, and storage with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP required

  • CI/CD with GitLab CI, GitLab Actions

  • Writing code with modern languages like Go, Python, Rust, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript

  • Using Terraform to deploy infrastructure as code, developing or contributing to Terraform modules

  • Container orchestration with at least one of Kubernetes, AWS ECS, AWS Fargate , Google Cloud Run, Azure Container Instances

  • Containerization and microservices with Docker

  • Continuous integration workflows to execute static and dynamic analysis, security, testing, and building of artifacts across a variety of runtimes

  • Continuous delivery publishing artifacts to varying registries/repositories, and deployment to cloud services

  • Strong Linux, command line and scripting skills required

  • Firm understanding of at least two regulatory , compliance , o r risk management frameworks such as HIPAA, NIST, CMMC, FedRAMP, HITRUST, FISMA, or SOC2

  • Familiarity with 12/15 factor methodologies

  • Agile workflow with GitLab Issues, Jira, or similar tools

  • Self -driven innovator, creative, and love to solve problems through technology to create quality code and robust, scalable applications

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team

  • Strong written communication and documentation skills

  • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses

  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
