Sarasota Ford is seeking Rockstar technicians to join our award-winning team. We have immediate technician openings in diesel, transmission, mobile service, and used vehicles.

Daily responsibilities will include:

• Perform each job with the excellence and diligence our customers expect at Sarasota Ford

• Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including but not limited to engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specifications

• Communicate mechanical diagnosis to our service team and keep customers up to speed on diagnosis when necessary

• Ensure the work area is kept in an excellent condition regarding cleanliness, safety, and equipment always

• Continually learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay up to date with rapidly changing technology

• Responsible for reconditioning the dealership’s pre-owned vehicles, including performing light-duty technician and maintenance repairs

• Perform general maintenance and thorough vehicle inspection

• Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste)

A qualified applicant will possess:

• At least 2 years auto technician experience preferred

• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification preferred

• Ford STARS certification preferred

• Excellent diagnostic skills

• Team-oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service

• Experience working in a high-volume dealership preferred

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

• Strong communication and computer skills

• Professional in appearance and grooming

• Thrives working as apart of a team and takes independent initiative when necessary

• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with no severe infractions within the last 3-years

• Ability to work in a warm and humid climate

• A lifelong learner in their career development

Experience:

• Automotive Technician: 2 years (Preferred)

License:

• Driver's License (Required)

• Ford STARS (Preferred)

• ACE (Preferred)
