Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Dietary Clerk in our Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) department you are responsible for the delivery of meals, snacks, and unit floor stock. All FNS team members adhere to food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures. The hospital dining schedule features hours and shifts that create a great work - life balance. Your food service experience and commitment to service, safety and professionalism will contribute to a positive experience for our patients, visitors and colleagues.

What You Will Do In This Role

• You will process, update, collect and check patient menus for each meal to ensure compliance with dietary modifications and restrictions.
• You will communicate effectively with patients and families to ensure understanding of dietary guidelines and additional food item availability.
• You will participate on tray line at each meal service by checking trays for accuracy.
• You will interpret diet preference and contact the dietician as needed.
• You will receive, store and maintain food, kitchen utensils and office supplies in an orderly, safe and sanitary manner.
  

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Food Handlers Permit must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• No Travel Travel Required
• Previous experience preferred
• This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
