We are looking for a dedicated Dining Supervisor to join our team to help direct and supervise our dining services aides, cooks, and clerks in dining services. They maintain records, schedules, and are responsible for daily operations in dietary services.
Responsibilities Include:
- Knowledge of mathematics and bookkeeping procedures to supervise inventory and prepare reports.
- Responsible for quality and quantity of food prepared and served.
- Keep up to date with trends and developments in dietary practices and techniques.
- Ensure that food preparation and service is in accordance with accepted state and administrative policies and within budgetary allowances.
- Assist in filing records and completing all forms as required by company policies such as number of meals served, menus, food costs, personnel records, perpetual inventory, etc., quality assurance audits and other documentation.
- Schedule hours of duty and work assignments of employees on all shifts and be able to understand completion of time cards through the use of Kronos.
- Assist in the standardization of recipes and daily production sheets for each menu cycle for personnel involved in food preparation.
- Assist in ordering of food supplies by comparing prices, quality, variety and quantity.
- Assist in in-service training sessions.
- Assist in the development of cleaning schedules, assures that correct procedures are followed.
- Work both morning and evening shifts as needed.
- Maintain records for new admissions, diet changes, room changes and daily census report. Can change diet census if needed.
- Must be able to work with a computerized menu and tray card program.
- Visit each new admission as soon as possible and also any resident having problems, when no dietitian on staff.
- Can confer with dietitian consultants on any different or unusual problems for his/her professional judgment.
- Is able to maintain good working relations among dietary personnel.

Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or its equivalent is preferred.
Experience: One year of dining services experience is preferred but not required.
Certification: Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or completion of DMA approved or ADA approved food service course preferred but not required.
Other: Able to work holidays and weekends as scheduled.
