Employee Communications Director, Synopsys Inc.

Now we are seeking an employee communications director capable of reimagining how we engage with our people globally. The channels we use, the kind of things we say, and how we get the attention of a workforce of 18,000+ people. And beyond that, how we present ourselves to the ranks of candidates looking to join us.
As a member of Synopsys’ Enterprise Brand and Communications leadership team, we have high expectations for this role, and we are looking for candidates with the ability to:
- PROMOTE Synopsys’ people strategy and vision internally and externally through compelling communications.
- LEVERAGE the external brand internally and communicate a robust and exciting employee value proposition for current and prospective employees.
- COMMUNICATE the brand story to engage and inspire our global employee base. Connect our people to Synopsys’ mission, strategies, values, culture, and strategic priorities and equip all employees to be ambassadors of Synopsys.
- ALIGN employees and help them understand goals, programs, processes, and organizational elements to enable them to do their jobs well and understand what is happening within their business and the broader organization.
- LEAD stakeholders to align goals and messages by working alongside inspiring executives, leaders, and employees within all areas of the Synopsys business including technology, marketing, human resources, sales, etc.
- CULTIVATE a corporate voice and sense of humor, and measure efforts around internal communications to continuously improve and grow.
- DESIGN structure and timing of internal messages through a variety of communication mediums. Build and deliver messages that resonate with diverse audiences.
- BUILD social media presence to inspire and include employees and transform traditional communications efforts to align with shifting communications methods and standards.
- MANAGE cross-functionally to unite resources and influence teams and stakeholders across the business.
- INFLUENCE key messages across the organization that are leveraged for a variety of exciting and informative events.
Candidate
The successful candidate will be a results-oriented and collaborative thought leader with a bias towards action. Have at least 15 years of progressively responsible and impactful roles in communications, preferably within a complex global organization. This individual will possess:
- Demonstrated experience creating, leading, and measuring holistic employee communications initiatives.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing successful social media, engagement, and digital media strategies.
- Exceptional ‘storytelling’ abilities and the ability to tailor and deliver messages to diverse clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven comfort and presence speaking publicly.
- Experience within or good working knowledge of Best Places to Work and/or related application and selection processes.
- Experience working within, or closely aligned with a global human resources organization on employee engagement strategies.
- Leadership credibility as evidenced by operating at all levels of an organization.
- Experience within a marketing agency background supporting a variety of clients is a plus.

Education and Experience
- BA/MA in communications or related field
- 15+ years of related strategic corporate communication

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $155,000 to $270,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses. Synopsys offers comprehensive health, wellness, and financial benefits as part of a of a competitive total rewards package. The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.
