As a Direct Support Professional at Devereux, you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. You will assist in the planning and implementation of services for assigned clients, and be responsible for the safety and security of all clients in assigned units. You will also provide therapeutic interventions as necessary.
You will add value by:
Maintaining a safe and therapeutic treatment environment that meets the physical, emotional, and personal needs of program clients while improving functioning and minimizing interfering behaviors.
Providing client documentation to include shift reports, incident reports, and individual progress notes.

Qualifications:
Job Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) or High-school diploma with relevant human services experience required. Academic studies in the areas of psychology, sociology, social work, and education are highly desirable.
- Previous experience preferred (not required) working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional and behavioral disorders, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders.
- Drivers license required.
- Completion of Diana Screening Assessment
- Must be able to attend a 2 week paid orientation, which runs Monday-Friday, 9AM to 5PM.
Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.
