Position

The Director of Managed Services leads an organization responsible for supporting and enhancing our customers’ software applications following initial build. This individual will join the Leadership of our Professional Services team as a senior member, and will have both strategic and operational ownership of the business unit. The Director will build strong relationships across teams to drive innovation while keeping a pulse on quality execution, and will own the strategy to achieve revenue targets set by the organization to support growth goals.


Managing their own book of business, this individual will understand the outcomes customers' are trying to achieve and partner with them to achieve their objectives. They will take time to learn about market needs to facilitate change and innovation in their practice. The Director will partner with Business Development, Sales and Services leaders to design bundled solutions to provide a plan for customers to realize their business goals.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Oversight and Account Management

    • Oversee Portfolio & Client Delivery Success

    • Account Escalation Support

    • Delivery Methodology accountability

    • Client / Account Relationship Building

    • Collaborate with teams to capture best practices, develop case studies and other core deliverables to build and evolve solution offerings

  • Sales Support

    • Provide input into Estimates & Staffing

    • Ensure Delivery Team and Client are set up for Success by reviewing SOWs and Change Orders

    • Partner with Sales team to assist in enablement of offerings, support prospect messaging and sales activities


  • Team Management

    • Lead a multi-disciplined team of developers, Product Analysts and Technical Architects.

      • Performance Management

      • Compensation Management

      • Provide Mentorship & Development

  • Leadership / Strategic

    • Participate in industry forums, events, and speaking engagements

    • manage production of project deliverables, budget, and presentations to client personnel and leadership

    • Mentor, develop, and proactively support practice capabilities per market demand

    • Interact with current and prospective clients to understand market needs

    • Design and execute strategy to achieve annual revenue targets

    • Drive Change Management initiatives internally


Requirements

  • 7+ years consulting experience; 7+ years experience managing projects involving CRM platforms or relational databases.

  • Consulting experience related to the Salesforce ecosystem.

  • Experience with Agile or similar software development methodologies.

  • Strong understanding of core Salesforce platform concepts.

  • Experience producing functional requirements documentation.

  • Outstanding communication skills, including internal and client up to C-level

  • Experience managing a team of multi-disciplinary staff

Desirable

  • Managed services experience.

  • Experience in the Salesforce ISV Partner ecosystem.

  • Agile ScrumMaster certification or equivalent experience

  • Experience as a Director of Engineering, Technical Architect, or Product Owner

  • Completed and can describe Salesforce platform product implementations

  • Salesforce development or consultant certification(s) or equivalent experience
