The Director, NE Region, Foreclosure Auction Services reports to the SVP, Auction Sales and Marketing, Foreclosure Auction Services and is responsible for leading a team of full and part-time associates in the execution of foreclosure auction sales throughout multiple states. The scope of work includes responsibility for executing all auctions and related marketing, bidder, and buyer education across a geography spanning multiple states. The successful candidate will drive sales growth through the expansion into new states, solidifying our position in existing markets, and the introduction of sales products across all available markets. The Director will oversee all training to include compliance mandates with all applicable client and corporate requirements, as well as all federal, state, and county laws. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the foreclosure process and have managed sizable teams and P&Ls over the years.

What success looks like in this role:
  • Supporting auction expansion efforts through stakeholder relationship creation, and management inclusive of managing complex, multi-level relationships
  • Development and championing the implementation of new and enhanced auctioneering products within existing live auction states inclusive of Remote Bidding, Extend the Bid, Assign the Bid, Proxy Bidding, etc.
  • Maximizing the efficiency of part-time and full-time staff to ensure all auctions are optimized, ensuring the integrity of the auction process in its entirety while providing outstanding customer and client/firm service
  • Actively managing the regional business P&L to achieve company targets
  • Partner with the Company IT & Technology teams and resources to develop and implement internal technology solutions that support and drive sales, effective reporting, and customer satisfaction
  • Create and maintain an active recruiting pipeline to ensure business continuity while striving to increase the overall quality of the total workforce
Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Define, develop, and deliver the best auction practices regionally and localized to ensure 100% auction event execution on all required elements: From initial asset posting and quality control on Auction.com’s website through customer interaction, post auction data quality assurance, fiduciary compliance, and all related date and reporting practices for each given state within the region
  • Oversee and partner with all available internal resources (FCL Operations, Technology, Marketing, peers in other regions, etc.), to drive sales while ensuring compliance with all corporate and client initiatives supporting auction execution
  • Perform regularly scheduled and ad-hoc inspections of live auctions within the assigned region to ensure high quality operations and compliant processes while also building strong, independent, and success-oriented teams
  • Develop and implement internal corporate property controls inclusive of technology, branding materials, and other corporate property in consonance with the larger Live Auction team and corporate policies
  • Interface with clients, attorney firm, and customers to ensure compliance, best practices, and overall high degree of satisfaction with Auction.com
  • Establish strong leadership, sales, and training programs in partnership with corporate training, leadership, and management departments
  • Develop strong leadership, development, and training programs that focus on creating motivation, growth, and retention with our part-time Auction Support Team (AST) workforce
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong mortgage industry experience, specifically default/foreclosure
  • Effective leader, communicator, and influencer, capable of developing trust with internal Auction.com teams and external stakeholders
  • Confident and assertive strategic thinker who can transition communication style to best accommodate the audience
  • Skilled problem solver who is comfortable navigating with various degrees of ambiguity
  • Hands-on leader, willing to roll up the sleeves and get things done in a nimble, high growth organization
  • Smart, curious, quick learner, strategic thinker, and thoughtful listener – with the ability to effectively listen, hear, process, and respond with inclusive solutions
  • Extensive people management and development background. Capable of creative thinking and leadership of employees in new markets
Education/Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience in the mortgage industry with real estate experience is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of loss mitigation processes and mortgage industry practices is beneficial
  • Leadership experience encompassing direct oversight of a workforce population exceeding 100 personnel inclusive of full and part-time associates covering multiple states, jurisdictions
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field, Master’s degree/MBA preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Travel required 20% to 25% within the NE Region, and occasional travel to corporate office in Irvine, CA.
