Our client, an international chemical and solvent distributor located in Avenel, NJ, is seeking a “hands-on” Director of Finance to join their team.

- Manage entire financial reporting and analysis, policies and procedures, internal controls, accounts payable, accounts receivables, credit, and collections.
- Manage cash flow, working capital and banking relationships.
- Maintain strong relationships with banking and independent accounting firm.
- Insure backup personnel and training in all areas of the financial operations.
- Timely prepare monthly financial statements and financial analysis to include yearend interface with independent accounting firm.
- Protects company ownership by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
- Provide critical vendors company financial information to maintain credit approval.
- Calculate 401k and profit-sharing information and submit for testing.
- Complete balance sheet management and reconciliation monthly by accounting staff.
- Interface with IT in obtaining management information.
- Prepare year end audit working papers for independent accounting firm.
- Assist and Provide to the President any information as requested.
- Financial software experience
- Strong accounting, and corporate finance background
- Tracking expense comparison
- Financial and analytical skills
- Analyzing information between periods and years and ability to develop financial expectations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and a quick learner with new software
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA or CPA a plus
- Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting/finance
- Distribution experience
