Missouri Girls Town Foundation, Inc. in Kingdom City, MO is looking for one director of human resources to join our 51 person strong team. We are located on 8548 Jade Road. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and reliable.

Summary

The Human Resources Director is responsible for the overall management of the Human Resources office and for supervising the staff assigned to him/her. The Human Resources Director should be professional, organized, calm in crisis situations, and willing to participate and help in other aspects of Missouri Girls Town’s program. He/She must demonstrate leadership and supervisory qualities and the ability to think independently.

The Human Resource Director reports directly to the Executive Director.

Duties

As Human Resources Director you are responsible for the following responsibilities which include but are not limited to:

*Develop and maintain a detailed list of current employees. *Run all required annual background checks.

b. Determine and notify the need of employee physicals.

c. Determine and notify the need of annual form signatures.

d. Determine and notify appropriate supervisors the need of evaluations.

e. Oversees and maintains all personnel files.

  • Oversees the process of seeking new employees.

a. Advertises for open positions in appropriate media.

b. Screens initial inquires for employment.

c. Sets up appointments for interviews.


  • Obtains/provides all needed documents for newly hired employees including, but not limited to:

a. Obtain copy of Drivers License.

b. Obtain copy of Social Security Card.

c. Obtain copy of Professional Credentials.

d. Obtain (request) copy of Transcripts.

e. Obtain copy of Certifications (if any).

f. Obtain (request) previous employment verification.

g. Obtain (request) three personal references.

h. Obtain (request) Driving Record.

i. Provide employee with employee handbook and employee orientation manual

j. Provide employee with employee I.D.

k. Provide employee with information/forms for initial employee physical and fingerprinting.

l. Provides orientation to all new employees regarding the basic employment and administrative policies of the agency.


4. Manages (with supervision from the Executive Director) the employee benefit program,

and leave programs.

5. Manages and files all Workers Comp claims.

6. Manages Petty Cash

a. Oversees all requests, making sure proper receipts/documentation is attached for auditing purposes.

b. Turns in requests to Accounts Payable for reimbursement when funds become low.

7. Supervises the following employees: Maintenance, Receptionist (Full & Part Time).

8. Helps provide office back up when needed. (Phone, mail, etc.)

9. Processes (along with Executive Director) payroll, biweekly.

10. Obtains photos and creates run files for new clients.

11. Ensures the confidentiality of all employee files.

12. Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

1) Minimum age of 21 years.

2) High School Diploma or GED.

3) Current Class E license – Must be obtained within one month of employment.

4) No criminal background or history of abuse to a child.

5) Ability to work long hours.

6) Ability to lift 10 pounds.

7) CPR and First Aid Certification.

8) Trained and verbally certified in Handle with Care procedures.

9) Ability to demonstrate caring, tolerance, and patience when dealing with troubled youth.

10) Ability to work and communicate with both staff and clients.

11) Ability to demonstrate understanding of philosophy, policies and procedures, strategies and programs of Missouri Girls Town.

12) Ability to maintain the confidentiality of all staff and clients.

13) Ability to be on time and dependable.

Environmental/Working Conditions

Ability to work with clients both inside and out at all times of the year. Hours outside normal business hours are required. This is an exempt position according to the FLSA. Salary based on working a regular 12 month schedule.
