POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION:
Lead and Develop a high performing human resources team. Partner with senior executives to participate business strategy and develop an aligned HR strategy to support the culture and growth. Ensure that all human resources practices are aligned to the desired employee experience. Drive efficiency and effectiveness of core human resources processes across the company. Develop talent acquisition, learning and development, total rewards, and human resources systems initiatives through partnering with business and operational leaders and the HR team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business or a related degree.
- 15 plus years’ successful Human Resources management experience.
- Three plus years’ management/supervisory experience.
- Human resources generalist background with demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in a team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated experience in leading employee engagement and development strategies.
- Experience in aligning HR strategy to business goals.
- Exposure in working with union environments
- Practical experience with the application of employment law.
- Practical knowledge or experience with safety compliance.
- Demonstrated success in developing and fostering teamwork at all levels of an organization.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills in developing key relationships and partnerships throughout the business.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to collaborate and influence others throughout the organization to find the optimal solution.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to frame business issues, analyze options, and concisely articulate a course of action to cross-functional audiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in the advanced Human Resources Systems
- Willingness to travel.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s Degree, MBA or SPHR.
- Established ability to put theory into practice without layers of policies and procedures.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Lead standardization of human resources processes across the division; aligned to organizational culture.
- Engagement: Partner with organizational leadership to develop engagement strategies to create the optimal employee experience.
- Talent, Learning & Performance: Ensure division-wide talent initiatives and programs are developed and designed through partnership with operations and executive leadership.
- Oversee location-specific Learning Programs; regularly reviewing effectiveness to diagnose future business needs
- Provide oversight of coaching, performance, and progressive discipline of
managers and employees
· Lead or oversee employee relations investigations
· Execute or oversee execution of organization change
- HRIS & Analytics: ensure adoption and consistency of business process across the site and all locations. Provide input / data for metric report-outs, Lead HR roadmap tied to Business Analytics including scorecard development and predictive analytics Facilitate headcount planning process; Lead Weekly and Monthly Report Out’s
- Policy, Compliance, Legal: Manage escalated employment claims of significant enterprise impact
- Develop or oversee division specific policy guidelines / procedures Oversight / execution / adherence to all People Policies
