SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Primarily responsible for developing, publishing, and tracking channel marketing programs. The incumbent will spend a considerable amount of time working with Universal Douglas sales and product teams to develop meaningful marketing programs. This position will require travel between 10% – 15% of the time.

  • Possess a customer first approach in all tasks – developing programs that make Universal Douglas the only choice by addressing customer needs with marketing programs
  • Build Team – come on board and start to develop a team to support our strategic plan
  • Redefine and build a new collateral plan – must be impactful and developed to sale our KSP’s while conveying appropriate technical information
  • Develop appropriate channel pull marketing programs to expand company position in electrical wholesale, project, OEM, and controls product channels
  • Research and develop vertical target marketing programs
  • Identify upcoming market segments and develop programs to drive connection and sales revenue

SPECIFIC DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Analyzes the competitive position of the organization’s products and or services. Identifies new uses and markets for established products and supports recommendation with objective facts
  • Develops and maintains relationships with Key Customers
  • Evaluates sales methods and prepares sales promotion materials to facilitate and maximize the effectiveness of the organization’s sales efforts
  • Plans, recommends, and implements promotions and events that are designed to increase sales and provide publicity for the organization and its product line
  • May establish and track promotion budgets and plan for purchases
  • Participates in the selection of promotional items and materials to support promotional events
  • Manages all activities involved in creating and interpreting a variety of unique visual displays. Ensures adherence to quality standards regarding appearance and content
  • Manages the design and development of the company’s direct marketing database. Analyzes demographics, industry competitor information, contact history, general market trends, etc. Identifies, develops, and implements direct marketing programs to increase business opportunities. Designs and implements methods to gauge program effectiveness
  • Develops Trade Show strategy and hard assets

EXPERIENCE:

The successful candidate should have at least 4 years of marketing management experience. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an aptitude towards:

  • Demonstrated success with NPI and launching products
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Successfully developed and tracked marketing plans
  • Analytical problem solving
  • Clear, logical, and concise thought process-based analysis
  • Understanding key business processes and applying them to individual goals
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, WordPress, and graphic background is a plus
  • Understanding and ability to perform financial analysis and payback of marketing programs

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor of Science in a marketing related field is a must
  • MBA degree is also desirable but not required
