What you will be doing:
The Marketing Director will benchmark our current marketing and communication efforts against best practices; in consultation with the Executive Director, team and board of directors, develop and draft a comprehensive marketing plan to meet our growth targets; lead and coordinate the execution of the marketing plan; lead the analysis of key performance indicators; and identify performance barriers and opportunities in a disciplined process of continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will have a track record of proven performance: driving outcomes, not just delivering outputs. We seek both a creative strategist and a disciplined operator, an individual who can leverage our strengths to deliver crisp campaigns with compelling calls to action that deliver excited, curious prospects ready for the next stage of recruitment as partners and donors to our Investments and Partnerships Team, who will complete the recruitment process and convert prospects as fully enrolled partners and supporters.

InvestED's Marketing Director leads the efforts to increase awareness of InvestED's mission and recruit growing numbers of individuals and organizations as partners and supporters for the many underserved students we serve.

Responsibilities:
Leadership
- As required and in consultation with the Executive Director, serve as a leading InvestED spokesperson for partners, supporters, members of the media, elected officials and others.
- Contribute to and support a culture of collegiality, mutual support, trust and effectiveness.
- Contribute to and support strategies, policies and processes that contribute to organizational scaling.
Marketing and Communication
- Benchmark current performance against best practices and identify both immediate and long-term opportunities for improvement
- Develop and deliver a concise, data and execution-centric marketing plan
- Develop social media strategy including specific messaging for different platforms.
- Examine and develop our strategy and messaging to current and future segments, including individual donors, teachers, corporate partners, school board members, school business offices, superintendents, media, and elected officials
- Transform our messaging vehicles to meet aggressive growth targets: website, social media, print, events, referral partners, and volunteers
- In addition to the acquisition and cultivation aspects of our recruitment process, develop and deliver a suite of performance reporting and stewardship tools to serve current partners to maximize loyalty, retention and referral
Metrics and Reporting
- Organize and maintain comprehensive and concise analytics and reporting that invite all members of the team to participate in continuous performance improvement
What we would like to see from you:
- Bachelor's Degree
- A minimum of five (5) years of successful experience in marketing and communications with a demonstrated track record of high performance.
- Strong analytical skills
- High level of organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability and desire to work as part of team
- Identify with and support the mission of InvestED

Compensation:
$125K with generous benefits (full medical, dental, vision; 3% contribution to IRA; free on-site health facilities; paid vacations).
