Director of Marketing Strategy- (Remote Opportunity)
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director of Marketing Strategy provides strategic leadership and vision for the Marketing Strategy team. Working with an entrepreneurial spirit in a fast-paced environment, the Director of Marketing Strategy will leverage integrated marketing techniques to meet or exceed the expectations of Bisk's partners. This position partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure effective creation, implementation, and measurement of strategic marketing campaigns for all partner brands. A team of partner-focused Marketing Managers report to this position and together they develop and execute the marketing plan, manage performance, define strategies and act as stewards of Bisk’s client brands.
Responsibilities
- Professionally represent the Marketing Team as a partner-facing subject matter expert by attending strategic discussions as required.
- Create and oversee the implementation of annual marketing plans and brand/program positioning strategies.
- Set strategic direction for the overall Marketing Management team and develop department-wide initiatives impacting all Bisk and partner brands.
- Establish procedures that will improve efficiency and quality for the department.
- Train the Marketing management team to effectively implement processes and integrate new partners and capabilities.
- Provide strategic oversight for the marketing process, providing both guidance and direction to ensure that the projects are clearly defined for cross-functional teams.
- Responsible for managing human resources within the marketing management area to include talent acquisition, career planning and performance management
- Develop and present reporting and insights to provide visibility to performance and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in preparation of brand marketing performance reviews to internal management and sales presentations to major customers.
- Direct the creation of marketing materials with consistent communication style for the brand product including:
- direct response programs, and fulfillment
- websites, internal lead forms and internet advertising materials
- internal email campaigns
- product collateral and catalogs
- advertising
- promotional materials
- PR/publicity releases
- consumer premiums and advertising specialties
- trade show and meeting materials
- internal training materials
Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing preferred.
- Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in marketing communications or account/marketing management.
- Experience in the higher education industry and lead generation is preferred
- Fiscally responsible.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
- Strong writing, proofreading, content gathering, and organizational skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to strategize and execute interactive media, paid media, websites, content and print/collateral.
- Leadership ability with strong interpersonal, presentation and written communication skills, team oriented, and proactive..
