Director of Project Management - Hybrid Job at High Touch Technologies
The Director of Project Management strategically oversees, monitors and manages the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure programs and projects meet the organization’s goals and requirements. Develops and implements PMO processes and policies, directs project management staff, and works with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs. Will work under the direction of the SR VP, Technology Solutions and/or the client in the case of outsourced PMO services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establishes PMO policies, processes, documentation, system monitors and controls and procedures to ensure projects are managed and controlled with standardization and efficiency.
- Provide direct leadership of the Project Management Office, directly managing the team and assignment of work priorities to ensure a successful client experience.
- Collaborate with internal and external resources to ensure timelines are met, removing obstacles as needed and working with key stakeholders define and document process improvements for future deployments.
- Directly and indirectly oversee projects including developing comprehensive project plans, working closely with key stakeholders to maintain project timelines, milestones and deliverables and answer any project related questions.
- Serves as an escalation point to facilitate the resolution of project implementation or client issues as they arise.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitors and reports on the overall health of the Project Management Office reporting and analyzing key performance indicators such as team member productivity/efficiency, project success, customer satisfaction, and resource engagement and development.
- Direct customer involvement and interface with strategic key clients.
- Use and continually develop leadership skills.
- Meet with internal stakeholders and clients to review detailed statements of work and clarify specific requirements of each project.
- Delegate project tasks to internal/external team members based on individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels.
- Works closely with key stakeholders to maintain project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis.
- Serves as liaison between HTT and Client to facilitate implementation issues as they arise.
- Compile technical documentation as needed.

Required:
- Must be based within a commutable distance to one of our physical High Touch locations (Wichita, Kansas City, San Antonio, Corpus Christi or Denver)
- 5 years’ experience in project management
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a department and department staff members
- Ability to handle accountability without authority (professionally holding peers accountable to timelines and facilitating issues)
- Strong and effective inter-personal and communication skills
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of staff and/or clients, including the executive level
- Strong working knowledge of project management tools, including Microsoft project
- Availability during non-office hours
- Self-Starter, minimal supervision
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Proven working experience as a project manager in the information technology sector
- PMP Training and/or Certification
- Excellent problem solving and organization skills
- Good time manager
