ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:
Innovative Education (InEd) meets the needs of learners any time and any place through innovative distance learning, continuing education, degree completion, certificate, workforce development, lifelong learning, and pre-college programs. InEd contributes to student success by collaborating with faculty, teaching assistants and academic administrators to strengthen the quality and breadth of USF's educational offerings, and by providing a variety of academic services, including online teaching workshops, consultations and instructional technology support. InEd aligns with the goals stated in the USF Strategic Plan, including the desire to increase enrollments, improve the university's degree completion rate, and develop and nurture public-private partnerships designed to generate new revenue and ensure institutional financial security. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Strategic Online Program Development builds upon existing Innovative Education partnership across the institution to support the development of fully online innovative programs and courses to meet workforce demand and student need. Focusing on innovation, quality, access, and affordability, the Director works under the direction of the AVP of InEd, collaborating with internal InEd departments, USF leadership and USF departments to ensure both short term and long term online strategy aligns with the mission and values of the university and FL BOG requirements and guidelines.
The Director of Strategic Online Program Development broadens programs to meet workforce needs for USF Online, creating and maintaining processes and procedures for intake, planning, tracking, communication, etc. Works with internal InEd Finance, Marketing, CTPE and Learning Design teams to improve cross-department synergy and efficiencies. Supervises Associate Director of Recruitment and recruitment team to ensure target enrollments and support for colleges and students are met. Pilots new initiatives such as success coaching and evaluates impact on future planning and support for colleges. The Director develops and maintains a student facing inventory for all fully online programs at USF. Information displayed empowers potential students to make informed enrollment decisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project/Program Management: Streamlines internal InEd processes within the university's vast guidelines for academic planning, creating efficiencies in program development/management, tracking and reporting. Develop internal tracking documentation and transparent processes. Broadens USF Online, partnering with USF colleges to create high quality online programs to meet current and future workforce demand. Develops and maintains a student facing inventory for all fully online programs at USF. Information displayed empowers potential students to make informed enrollment decisions.
Analysis: Analyzes existing data and initiates new market research, supporting the colleges in making informed decisions on new course and program development trends and priorities.
Innovation: Works closely with Exec Director of CTPE to combine credit and non-credit program offerings to impact market needs and the changing landscape of higher education.
Supervise: Leads Recruitment team to ensure target enrollments and support for colleges and students are met. Pilots new initiatives such as success coaching and evaluates impact on future planning and support for colleges.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree form a regionally accredited institution with a minimum of seven years related exempt experience, including five years of managerial experience. Experience leading a team, project, program or function.
PREFERRED:
Master's degree in related, working with faculty and college-level leadership and 5 years experience leading online initiatives. Experience in enrollment management, working with college and university level leadership and 7 years experience leading online initiatives.
