Director of Student Support Administration Job at Bennington-Rutland Supervisory Union
The Director of Student Support Administration serves as the educational leader responsible for implementing and managing the policies, regulations, and procedures of the Bennington-Rutland Supervisory Union (BRSU) to ensure that all students are educated in a safe, child-centered learning environment. Through effective collaboration and communication across all departments, the Director ensures that BRSU administrative procedures are followed and compliance is maintained. The Director provides system-level training to personnel and supports their work. During the fall, winter, and spring benchmark testing windows, the coordinator reviews, aggregates and provides the school data to building principals and central office leaders.
Candidate is an experienced educator who is independent, self-directed, and resourceful.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Management of Academic and Behavioral Databases including i-Ready, eduClimber, SWIS, AlmaDistrict Coordination of the Vermont Comprehensive Assessment Program (VTCAP) for the Supervisory UnionCoordination of student services to ensure that students experiencing homelessness enroll in school and have the opportunity to succeed academically as required by the McKinney-Vento ActManagement and coordination of Hazing, Harassment, and Bullying reporting and investigation procedures to ensure that Supervisory Union schools remain in compliance with Vermont statutesDevelopment and management of annual Building Effective Support for Teaching (BEST) and Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment (EPSDT) grantsOversight and coordination of Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS), Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS), and Response to Intervention (RTI) systems at all six BRSU schoolsSupervision of English Language Learner (ELL) and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) staff and programmingCoordination and facilitation of BRSU's compliance with Title IX of the Civil Rights Act of 1964Ensures compliance with Vermont Rule 4500 regarding the use of restraint and seclusion in schoolsCoordination leadership of new teacher orientation and mentoring programs and procedures to support the onboarding and retention of new staffBRSU is a Professional Learning Community which demonstrates best practice in teaching and is committed to high levels of achievement and success for all students.
