What you’ll be doing:
The Director of Talent Management will play a key role contributing to the growth and success of the SCP Health organization by designing, developing, and operationalizing talent management strategies, tools, and processes in the disciplines of performance management, succession planning, talent assessment, change leadership, development planning, and competency identification. The Director of Talent Management will drive talent management strategies, programs, and initiatives aimed at promoting diversity and elevating skills and capabilities across the organization. This role will help to ensure we have a strong pipeline of leaders to meet the current and future business needs. Under the leadership of the VP of Talent Management, this role will balance strategic input with tactical support in driving a strong talent management agenda. This position will work in close partnership with both the HRBPs and business leaders to accomplish key strategic priorities to support sustainable business results. The ideal candidate must be willing to roll-up your sleeves and actively contribute to all aspects of organizational initiatives including project management to the co-creation process to implementation.
- Lead the design of multi-year talent plans and programs, shaping and collaborating with HR Business Partners.
- Partner with HR Business Partners to shape business unit talent strategies, applying workforce planning, external talent data, and internal succession/talent pools.
- Create and manage talent review process; select methodology, partner with Workday HRIS to operationalize planning.
- Create and manage Workforce Planning process; develop templates, educate HRBP’s and BU leadership.
- Create and implement a Diversity & Inclusion strategy in partnership with key stakeholders.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition leadership to create marketing strategies for diverse talent communities.
- Manage the annual performance evaluation process including communications, coordination of necessary training activities, and reporting on key metrics throughout the process.
- Partner with Learning and Development to develop programs that support the effective development of employees from underrepresented minorities.
- Develop key metrics/service level agreements (SLAs) and report regularly on progress of D&I efforts.
- Act as change management lead for key projects and initiatives as needed.
- Manage the annual talent review and succession planning processes including the identification of HIPOs and the preparation of Individual Development Plans.
- Provide leadership coaching and give constructive feedback and suggestions to people at all levels of the organization
- Lead the optimization of talent management functionality within the company’s HRIS (Workday).
- Recommend and leverage talent assessments to identify employee readiness, talent gaps, and retention risks.
Who/What we are looking for:
- You have 6-8 years experience within a mid to large size organization with direct Talent Management responsibilities
- You have a bachelor's degree in related field; Masters degree preferred
- You have organizational-savvy and be comfortable with diplomatically challenging status quo and influencing at all levels
- You have demonstrated experience in partnering with senior leaders to effectively diagnose, develop, and implement appropriate interventions to drive organizational effectiveness through the use of organizational systems and methodologies.
- You are an excellent collaborator, persuader, and communicator (written, verbal and presentations)
- You are well-organized and self-directed.
