These services include: · Fulltime local and regional dedicated driver leasing positions · Over the Road, LTL, FTL shipments · Domestic and International Freight · Cartage and Small Package / Pallet Network Program, Final Mile and On-Demand Courier services.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand Policies and Procedures for Owner-Operators and communicate performance expectations and goals to Owner-Operators.
- Ensure Owner-Operators adhere to proper sign on procedures.
- Dispatch all on-demand deliveries and plan and assign pick-ups to maximize productivity and customer service.
- Support the Owner-Operators in their efforts to complete deliveries.
- Ensure delivery times are met according to the customer’s expectations.
- Anticipate problems and eliminate them through effective planning.
- Communicate the situation to the customer when a delivery time cannot be met or a significant problem develops during the course of a delivery. Explain how the situation is being resolved to the customer. Immediately report the situation to the Branch Manager and/or Regional Director.
- Ensure proper airport procedures are followed.
- Review and correct any incorrect information in the system in each customer order.
- Closely monitor low-producing or marginal Owner-Operators.
- Promptly recommend Owner-Operator changes and recommendations to the Branch Manager and/or Regional Director and/or Fleet Operations Coordinator when warranted.
- Respond to service failures and immediately report them to the Branch Manager and/or Regional Director.
- Maintain close communication with the scheduling department on scheduled activity to ensure good start-ups of new activity and smooth transitions on changed activity.
- Assist Customer Service Representatives in answering incoming calls and entering runs into the system as necessary.
- Dispatch deliveries for other locations when scheduled or when necessary.
- Complete documentation/reporting as prescribed by the Branch Manager and/or Regional Director.
- Process miscellaneous projects and tasks as prescribed by the Branch Manager and/or Regional Director.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Call Center or Dispatch experience required-at least 2 years experience.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle and complete multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to handle a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Word, Outlook, and Excel).
- Must be able to read and understand digital maps and location software.
- Excellent Customer Service skills with both external customers and internal employees and managers.
- Must have a professional demeanor with customers, owner operators, and office personnel in person and on the telephone.
- Depending on shift, may also be required to perform general warehouse duties where lifting up to 70 lbs may be necessary.

Part Time Position: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm Sun - Tues
