- What the position is: The Dispatch - Operations Controller will be responsible for managing and overseeing the airline's flight schedules and dispatch operations, ensuring safe and efficient flight operations, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Liaise between Dispatch and Manager on Duty during Day-to-Day operations of the Airline with an emphasis on Safety, regulatory compliance, and schedule continuity.
- Supervise and assist aircraft dispatchers with day-to-day operations (ATC constraints, ATCSCC advisories, reduction of delays, etc.)
- Handle and/or coordinate irregular flight operations (i.e., ferry, reposition, supplemental/charter, etc.)
- Maintain shift log to be distributed after each shift
- Accountable for the Safety Management System (SMS) responsibilities described in the Company's SMS Manual and 14 CFR part 5.23
- Shall ensure that aircraft are dispatched consistently with the Company’s fuel policy
- Any other duties the Director of the SOC or Chief Dispatcher assigns.
- Must be at least 23 years of age
- 6 months to 1 year of Airline Dispatcher Experience preferred but not required.
- Must be legal to work in the United States (A citizen or national of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work)
- Must own a valid United States or foreign passport with applicable VISAs
- Must have the right to travel freely in and out of the United States, to and from all cities served by CommutAir without restriction
- Fluent in the English language, both written and spoken
- Satisfactory 10-year background history, including criminal background
- Hold a valid FAA Dispatch certificate
- Excellent communication skills, written, spoken, and radio
- Basic Computer skills
