Job Description and Responsibilities:

nuEra is seeking an experienced, passionate, and professional individual for the role of Dispensary General Manager. The Dispensary General Manager will enhance the customer experience and drive sales while promoting a positive work environment geared towards growth and development. The Dispensary General Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations at the retail level comprising customer experience, staff development, financial management, inventory management, and general operations and compliance, with responsibilities including but not limited to:

• Serve as liaison to the local community
• Create and inviting environment to gain new customers to promote clientele retention
• Training staff on daily customer interaction, to effectively assist and educate
• Manage dispensary employees, including hiring, onboarding scheduling, and supervision
• Provide ongoing professional development and team building, including product education, policies, and best practices
• Review dispensary employee performance on a regular basis.
• Address and resolve employee concerns
• Inspire staff to deliver the highest level of customer service.
• Set sales, service, and profit goals and improve processes to lead staff to exceed them.
• Create execute marketing and promotions strategies
• Collaborate with senior management to create budgets and forecast sales
• Keep meticulous reports on daily operations and finances of dispensaries.
• Manage quality product inventory, with software tracking systems
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of every product and brand in the store, as well as industry-wide product knowledge
• Negotiate with wholesalers / vendors to procure appropriate supplies of quality products
• Lead an organized workplace to maintain facilities and create systems smooth running stores that promote nuEra’s brand and mission
• Collaborate in developing and implementing operational rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and systems to advance nuEra’s mission, vision, objectives, and goals
• Ensure staff follow best practices.
• Verify dispensary compliance with security, inventory, record keeping, in adherence with local and state regulations

Qualifications, Required Skills, and Demonstrated Experience:

• Outstanding management and team leadership experience in the retail industry
• Established and delivered sales goals
• Structured, executed understanding of store operations and management
• Inventory and point-of-sale software (cannabis industry specific platforms such as Biotrack or LeafLogix a bonus)
• Excellent customer service and vendor relations
• Hiring, training, mentoring staff, and developing talent
• Active commitment to providing a professional and welcoming environment for customers and employees alike
• Dedicated, cooperative service-oriented work ethic on all fronts

Other Desired Background:

Experience, interest in and/or passion for groundbreaking work in the cannabis industry, product brands, MCPP (medical cannabis pilot program) is a bonus.

Requirements - Non-negotiable:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• BA or BS Degree and/or 5-7 years experience in a high-volume retail sales environment or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Must be able to pass state-required background check to work in the cannabis industry
• Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
