Distribution Center Associate Picker | 1st Shift Job at Safelite
The Distribution Center (DC) Picker is an essential support role within Safelite’s supply chain function. This associate will be an adaptable industrial athlete in the Distribution Center with a focus on mastering picking safety glass using a reach truck up to 40 feet in the air and meeting rigorous metrics with speed, precision, and safety in mind. The work you do helps get the right products to the right places at the right time to help our retail partners take care of our customers.
What You’ll Get
Shift: 4:30am - 3pm (typically four - 10.5 hour shifts depending on business needs)
Competitive pay starting at $23/hour for 1st shift.

What You’ll Do
Using an order picker and a handheld RF scanner, you’ll pick windshields and more to support the needs of the business and customers.
Have a ramp-up period of up to 5 months to meet output metrics, this role has high performance expectations.
Be comfortable and confident on MHE equipment after receiving training and certification from our amazing leaders.
Complete Windshield and Curved Tempered part orders.
Audit glass to verify accuracy of order pickers.
Maintain safe and clean work environment.
All other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Experience with MHE equipment preferred (forklift, reach truck, order picker, etc.)
Commitment to punctuality and attendance to support your teammates.
Repeatedly lift 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
To be comfortable with being raised up to 40 feet on a lift to pick inventory.
Resilience to work in a variety of environmental conditions such as seasonal heat or cold and standing for long periods of time.
Willingness to support other functional areas of the distribution center as needed.
A great attitude with a service mindset.
