Pet Food Express is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Analyst in our new Oakley, California Fulfillment Center. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and enjoys a dynamic, fast paced work environment. As a member of the Inventory Control team, you play a key role in optimizing inventory set-up, ensuring data integrity, and auditing the accuracy of shipments to our company stores and customers. You must possess a dynamic skillset and be willing to quickly shift from task to task based on the needs of the business.

What you'll do:

• Audit outbound and/or inbound shipments at the pallet, truck, or transaction level
• Cycle count the warehouse locations to ensure inventory integrity
• Manage information within WMS, ERP and other legacy systems
• Research and perform root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies
• Perform quality checks around date sensitive, slow moving and obsolete items
• Reconcile and report on damages to inventory
• Slot product in the correct location(s) to optimize warehouse efficiencies
• Identify trends and make recommendations which will help improve the safety, speed, and accuracy of the operation

What you'll need:

• Critical thinking, quantitative, and analytical skills
• Must be organized and manage your own time effectively
• Experienced and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience using a Top Tier Warehouse Management System (WMS) is a plus
• Results oriented with a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and some holidays on occasion
• This is an on-site position, candidates must reside within local travel distance of our Fulfillment Center
