Job description/areas of focus:

• Work proactively to mitigate avoidable Supply Chain disruptions and proactively communicate disruptions to appropriate parties.
• Work closely with the Demand Planning team, Marketing team, Product Development Team, Logistics partners, and Distributors on total anticipated usage and projections for all products to ensure appropriate inventory is available at the distributors to support these initiatives
• Monitor food and packaging inventories in the distribution centers
• Manage obsolete inventory and expedited logistics expenses based on goals established for the fiscal year
• Manage the process with the Supply Chain Manager on ensuring accurate and timely Price List communication to Distributors and restaurants
• Resolves delivery issues between Manufacturers, Distributors, and stores.
• Works with our Quality Assurance Manager to resolve product quality issues and act as a key Supply Chain representative regarding the product recall process
• Identify potential logistics and freight providers
• Establish process for suppliers, distributors, and 3rd party providers to submit bids
• Establish policy for selection across different potential freight haulers that maximizes benefit and builds effective long-term relationships

Measures of success:

• Create a scalable distribution network to support the company growth and expansion both domestically and internationally
• Deep dive into pricing audits to capture billing errors and price discrepancies
• Create inbound/outbound logistic plans to maximize freight efficiency and savings
• Bridge the gap between field/store team and distributors to ensure continuity of supplies and mitigate disruptions and out of stocks

Desired skills & experience:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience with Demand Planning or inventory management processes, in CPG or Foodservice
• Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively to positively influence Operators, Supplier and Distribution Partners, Area Support Teams and across Supply Chain
• Strong emotionally intelligence, mental fortitude, and resiliency
• Ability to balance multiple and sometimes conflicting stakeholder interests
• Proficient in facilitation, written and presentation skills
• Effectively communicate in high pressure situations
• Experience working directly with 3rd party distribution centers
• Proficiency with Excel, Outlook and Word
