Overview:
JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE:
District Managers play an integral role in Drybar’s ongoing operations. They inspire, teach, and train their Shop Team members as individuals and business leaders. They are responsible for the achievement of key financial, operational, leadership,marketing and team metrics and strategy within their respective territory. District Managers are also responsible for leading ongoing revenue growth, client satisfaction, profitability, staffing, and team culture within their District.
Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for the development of financial objectives and budgetary commitments for market assigned, in partnership with the Regional Director and Franchise Owners.
  • Regularly reports on shop performance to the Regional Director..
  • Partnership with Regional Director on operational plans to ensure achievement of annual business goals and growth.
  • Accountable for driving business within assigned District, including P&L education to the shop team.
  • Ensures brand partnerships, buy-outs, and events are executed properly.
  • Leads Shop Managers in the execution of initiatives to enhance field performance in the areas of client acquisition, product sales, cost control, staffing, team development, and client experience.
  • Leads, directs, and develops a team of Shop Managers. Ensures talent development and succession planning occurs in the district to maximize performance, bench strength and individual career growth.
  • Partners with Recruitment and Education Market Manager and Regional Director for selecting internal and external talent at the Shift Lead, Educator, Stylist and Bartender levels.
  • Supports and/or drives initiatives to support Regional Director or leadership to and through Shop Managers and Team Members
  • Partners with Regional Director, Recruitment and Education Market Manager, and Franchise Owners in the areas of Team Member relations, performance management, systems, culture development/core values, safety initiatives and training as needed.
  • Partners with Recruitment and Education Market Manager on deployment of training strategy to ensure that technical training within the market delivers quality styling services and team members are up to date on product awareness.
  • Influences the developmental culture that upholds company policies and procedures and proactively addresses performance, accountability, ethics, fun and respect in the workplace.
  • Collaborates with the Regional Director to make recommendations for improvements in systems and processes.
  • Ensures operational responsibilities for new shop openings are executed to standard.
  • Ability to manage, direct, teach and maximize appointment booking applications in each shop within the District.
  • Educate and audit inventory controls, manages shrink and shop consumption and manage the shop product ordering process
  • Partners with Shop Managers on resolving client and team member concerns, escalations and resolution.
  • Provides coaching and mentoring to Shop Managers to promote future talent and engagement within the District.
  • Interim Shop Manager in the event of a Shop Managers absence.
  • Communicates and directs execution of all initiatives at the shop level.
  • Facilitates market meetings as needed and weekly calls with direct reports.
  • Manages payroll audits to all Team Members within the District.
  • Schedules individual one-on-one time with Shop Managers to invest in their personal development.
  • Executes the strategic plan to improve performance in sales, recruiting, shop productivity, client experience, and team culture within the district as identified by the Regional Director and Recruitment and Education Market Manager.
  • Identifies business opportunities within the District and partners with the Regional Director on developing solutions to address or to capitalize on opportunities in the business.
  • Works closely with Regional Director and Recruitment and Education Market Manager to continuously improve training, communication, recognition, incentives and programs offered to the Field.
  • Ensures that shop facilities are maintained to operate safely, efficiently and to brand-level standards of appearance.
  • Keeps the Regional Director informed of issues on a regular basis.
  • Other duties as assigned or as needed by the business


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Shop Managers and all Shop Team Members in the assigned District.
Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to work remotely with great autonomy and self-discipline with minimal need for supervision.
  • Ability to think through and provide solutions to concerns/challenges within the job without relying solely on supervisory direction and with the ability to incorporate supervisory feedback as well.
  • Must be detail oriented and possess excellent time management skills.
  • Must be an ambassador of the brands professional standards and policies of the business at all times.
  • Ability to deliver results and understand how to prioritize daily activities to meet critical timelines and required business goals.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and lead a team that drives results.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all levels within the organization, including remote shop locations.
  • Ability to manage conflict and influence satisfactory outcomes between team members and other parties.
  • Ability to create an open and positive work environment supporting Drybar culture.
  • Strong leadership presence, must be able to speak to groups of various sizes, conduct meetings, events, and training.
  • Attention to detail and focus on operational excellence.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Gmail and other computer applications.


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • 3 years of management experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in beauty, hospitality, restaurant, or retail industries strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
  • Previous salon management experience and a Cosmetology License are preferred, but not required.
