Anguil is seeking a dynamic and organized individual to fill a Document Control Manager role within our Engineering department. This position is primarily responsible for tracking engineering deliverables, proactively advising teams of potential delays or internal bottlenecks, and assisting with the expediting of vendor submittals. The opportunity to improve processes and implement tracking and/or notification systems while managing a team are growth opportunities within the department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manage current staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
Support document control process and evaluate potential improvements.
Proactively “mine data” to develop systems to flag delays or internal bottlenecks.
Communicate with engineering disciplines on project roadblocks and deliverables.
Monitor and maintain submittal logs; distribute submittals to the project team.
Enroll and learn various customer portals for project specific submittal processes.
Analyze data gathered to develop strategies to improve efficiencies.
Track and expedite vendor due dates and submittal adherence.
Develop metrics to forecast workload and communication with disciplines if priorities need to be altered.
Perform related responsibilities as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
3+ years of relevant work experience in the field of Engineering or Document Control.
Experience working with documents, hard copy and digital, and file management.
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products, Adobe Pro, Trello.
Experience with expediting, document control methodologies, and product coordination preferred
Must have excellent judgment and ability to make solid decisions based on facts available
Self-confident with strong organization, communication, and time management skills
