Document Control Specialist
SUMMARY:
FNA Group is a family-owned, world class manufacturer of pressure washers and other outdoor power equipment. With over 1 million square feet of production space across 4 locations, we continue to grow our business and our family. We are currently seeking a Document Control Specialist who has the drive and motivation to learn and grow in an expanding business.
Primary Purpose:
The Document Control Specialist will work within the Engineering department to ensure best practices for releasing, approving, and revising engineering drawings, documents, and manufacturing routings. The Document Control Specialist will maintain engineering schedule under the direction of the Engineering Manager, and will support Manufacturing and Assembly with the necessary documents.
Job Description:
- Maintain engineering documents in PDM ensuring revisions, approvals and relevant data are maintained.
- Generate, maintain and track deviation requests, engineering change requests, engineering change notices and other documentation.
- Responsible for overseeing PDM data integrity.
- Create and maintain routings and related data in ERP as directed.
- Maintain engineering schedule/task list with current status of open items. Run associated reports and communicate to the engineering department and process partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned. May include:
- Assist with pilot build and BOM validation for new units.
- Coordinate new unit launches with corporate and local teams.
- Serve as backup in other locations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience with PDM/PLM systems and engineering document flow.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing routing maintenance.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to read and understand technical documents.
- Above average computer knowledge with MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and other related processing programs.
Education/Certification:
Required:
High school diploma or GED.
Preferred:
Associate's degree or higher.
