POSITION OVERVIEW
Position Overview:
Highly responsible for the writing, distribution, storage, and maintenance of the court’s documentation. This position will help implement new documentation formats to optimize the efficiency of the systems already in place. New documentation will be developed and maintained. Work is performed under the general direction of the Courts Director.
Essential Job Functions:
Develop, implement, update and distribute policy and procedures for the courts.
Create and distribute brochures for the Court department.
Review documents and written external communication for format, consistency and compliance with existing procedure.
Confirm documentation meets statutory requirements before distribution.
Recommend and implement policies and procedures to improve the efficiency, effectiveness and productivity of the area of responsibility.
Compile reports and analyze data.
Perform technical work as required to ensure operations are running smoothly.
Deal with long-term storage of information and data protection.
Revise outdated documents and ensure all staffs are using correct version.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
A comparable amount of training, education or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.

Equipment, Machinery, Tools, and Materials Utilization: Requires the ability to operate, maneuver and/or control the actions of equipment, machinery, tools, and/or materials used in performing essential functions. Verbal Aptitude: Requires the ability to utilize a wide variety of reference, descriptive, advisory and/or design data and information. Mathematical Aptitude: Requires the ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication and division; ability to calculate decimals and percentages; may include ability to perform mathematical operations with fractions; may include ability to compute discount, interest, and ratios; may include ability to calculate surface areas, volumes, weights, and measures. Functional Reasoning: Requires the ability to apply principles of influence systems, such as motivation, incentive, and leadership, and to exercise independent judgment to apply facts and principles for developing approaches and techniques to resolve problems. Situational Reasoning: Requires the ability to exercise judgment, decisiveness and creativity in situations involving the evaluation of information against sensory, judgmental, or subjective criteria, as opposed to that which is clearly measurable or verifiable.
Additional Functions:
- Knowledge of business English, spelling, arithmetic, and modern office practices and procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of Clerk’s organizational rules, procedures, and regulations.
- Knowledge of departmental procedures related to Clerk’s functions and responsibilities to the judiciary.
- Communicate in a clear and concise manner.
- Work as a member of a team.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Establish, maintain, and prepare complex records and reports.
- Understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions.
- Meet the public and deal effectively with their questions or problems.

ADA Compliance:
Physical Ability: Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of lightweight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods at a keyboard or work station.
Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate sounds and visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.
Environmental Factors: Essential functions are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions.

Pay: $52,373.00 per year
