Save The Mailmen In Home Dog Training is looking for a new dog trainer trainee for our apprentice program to include training services. Preference will be given to those with formal dog training experience.

Successful candidates would have an open mind and are very responsible, presentable and reliable! Having a calm and assertive personality will go a long way. Confidence and passion for working with dogs and people are a must.

This position would be trained in the delivery and execution of Save The Mailmen In Home Dog Training's model and would be responsible for providing (6) 1.5 hour a week sessions in customers homes. We service the entire Treasure Valley but most of our demographic is in Ada County. (Boise Meridian, and Eagle). This position is perfect for anyone who loves dogs and has a background or interest in training. Preference will be considered with some experience. We are looking for an enthusiastic, teachable,confident, and polished presenter to assist families in working with all dogs in all ages and sizes in becoming loyal and obedient members of the pack. You must present with a professional demeanor. All training is provided in client's home and outside the house and the possible park.

We employ and implement humane and safe training methods, comprised of a gentle strictness with shaping and modification strategies. We do not use any type of stimulation collars. We sometimes employ the use of prong or choker type (Martingale) training collars so you must be comfortable with this idea when necessary.

We are looking to onboard a new hire and provide a training program with a training pay and then provide clients for the trainee to see on their own schedule and complete the 6 week series. Schedule is completely flexible between trainer and client and must be completed within a reasonable time period (usually 5-8 Weeks).

*This position is NOT a 1099 position. It is a part time employee who will be compensated very well per session and increase once onboarding is done. You will be working part time making full time money. Training pay is 250 every 3 weeks until apprenticeship is complete. You must be reliable and self regulated with great discernment and judgment

Preference will be provided to person who can also be available on weekends or nights as this is mandatory as we serve clients days and around working hours.Work at night should not exceed ending time at 8 pm but may on occasion. This position can expect to work from 2-5 one and a half hour average (sessions) weekly at first and then increase as business grows. Uniforms provided. This is a good part time income and can be a great second job for someone looking to make some good money and make a positive impact.

Working in this position is fun, satisfactory in the fact we are helping mitigate re-homing, aggression and anxiety type issues while creating loyal bonds between dogs and families.

Lastly, we provide in home pet sitting services. You must be comfortable staying overnights in clients home.
