Domestic Violence Advocate Job at Unity House of Troy
Do you have a passion for helping victims of domestic violence? Can you work collaboratively with law enforcement and provide guidance with the criminal justice systems? If so, this is the position for you!

Responsibilities:
Provide emergency assistance for victims and survivors of domestic violence seeking assistance.
Provide emotional support, crisis intervention and safety planning.
Provide information, referrals and linkages to supportive services.
Assist in communication between law enforcement and victims.
Follow up as needed.
Conduct home visits with law enforcement for high risk victims.
Complete contract and/or regulatory compliance activities.
Participate in rotating on-call system that requires some nights and weekends.
Promote a work culture of inclusion and belonging.
Requirements:
Bachelor preferred, Associate Degree with at least 2 years of related experience. A valid NYS driver’s license and acceptable driving record in accordance with liability insurance. Reliable transportation.
